Setting up Your Netscape Profile
For School Email


Go to Start, Programs,Netscape Communicator, Utilities,User Profile Manager.

Click the New button to create a new profile.

Then click Next at the following screen.

Enter you full name which is first and last, this is what people will see when you send a message. In the second line enter your email address.
First initial last name@central-ph.k12.mo.us

Then click Next
At the following screen just click next all info is correct and entered for you.

At the following screen it is asking for the outgoing mail server, which is: central-ph.k12.mo.us
Then click Next

Then at the following screen in the top line it wants your mail server user name, which is first initial last name.
Ex. rhuff Then in the bottom line the incoming mail server is: central-ph.k12.mo.us
Mail server type is POP 3. Then click Next.

The following screen just asks for newsgroup server and just leave as is and click Finish.

Then Netscape will open. If it asks if you want it to be your default browser, that means anytime you go to internet it will default to Netscape home page. That is your decision, if others use your computer you probably want to say no.
To get to mail you can click on shortcut for inbox at bottom right corner or go to Toolbar at top and click on Communicator and go to Messenger.

To get mail click on Get Messages button and a prompt will pop up for you to put in your password, which is the last 4 digits of your Social Security number.

Then click okay
Your messages will pop up in the top window and when you click on them you may read them in the bottom window.
When you receive messages if you click on their email address it will place it in your address book. It will show you the entry and you click okay.
